Once you complete the Tool, it will generate a confidential detailed report on the standard and validity of the cold chain processes you use in your company, and will assist you to identify areas where improvement might be beneficial.
The program will draw on information you provide in seven steps, some of which are optional, to generate your final report.

Steps 4. to 7. are optional to assist those businesses which operate only in certain segments of the cold chain. For example, if you operate a restaurant that does ‘dine in’ trade only (no takeaways), you can select steps 4 and 5 only.

If your business is a transport/delivery service for cold chain goods, you can select step 7 only.
As well as generating a benchmark score for your company, the Cold Chain Benchmarking Tool will also provide useful feedback on those areas of your cold chain processes and quality management that might need improvement, and it will suggest specific training resources, or practical courses that may help you achieve more robust compliance. Some of the resources suggested may incur charges and some are free.
Once you begin using the tool, everything you enter will be saved, you will be sent your own unique ID by email, and you can return any time to review or amend.
AFCCC is offering the Cold Chain Benchmarking Tool as a public service in line with its charter to improve all practices across the cold chain in Australia.
Your company's data will not be shared with any other authority, and nor will AFCCC track you or annoy you with any other product or service.
Through the AFCCC's participation in the national Stop Food Waste initiative, your participation in the Benchmarking Tool will help Australia’s goal to halve food loss and wastage by 2030.
