AFCCC chairman Mark Mitchell, interviewed for the ABC's science program Health & Wellbeing, said that the best plans and the most sophisticated equipment can come undone through simple human error within the cold chain. He added that temperature abuse is a risk every time a product is loaded onto a new truck, or there is a change in cuistody as the produce passes through a control point.
