Canada joins Australia and others in global supply chain plan

Canada has now joined with 18 countries, including Australia in a cooperative plan to try to reduce the disruptions to supply chains brought on by war, pandemics, natural disasters and extreme climate impacts. The countries will work together to build long-term resilience in the supply chains. Among other things, the plan aims to promote diversification and increase global capacities for multiple, reliable, and sustainable sources of materials and inputs, intermediate goods, and finished goods in priority sectors, along with logistics infrastructure capacities, increasing resilience of supply chains to make economies less vulnerable to disruptions and shocks.
